After tracking a flitting male Orange-tip for many yards, I finally lost sight of him by the bank of a stream. Creeping up stealthily, I discovered him frantically wooing, then mating with a receptive female. This delightful performance played out over a good 20 minutes. In contrast with the female, it was not easy to capture clear images of the male due to his rapid darting movements. I felt it to be a huge privilege to be witness to such a magical event.
